YouTube promotion cost calculator.
Enter a budget and where your video should run. The calculator turns published cost-per-view ranges for YouTube video ads into an estimate of paid views.
Your campaign
Google sets no minimum budget for most campaigns, and Demand Gen campaigns need at least $5 a day. Picking a country changes the cost per view more than anything else.

An estimate, not a promise. A paid view is someone choosing to watch 30 seconds of your ad (or all of it, if shorter) or interacting with it. Your real cost depends on your video, your audience and the competition.
Plan a campaign with usHow the estimate works
The calculator divides your budget by a range of costs per paid view for the region you pick. The fewer views end of the result uses the highest cost per view, and the most views end uses the lowest.
The regional ranges come from Dynamoi, which published its own data from music campaigns run on Google Ads between August 2025 and February 2026: $0.004 to $0.05 a view worldwide, $0.02 to $0.05 in the US and $0.004 to $0.006 in India. Dynamoi sells music promotion, so treat these as one company’s figures. General benchmarks across all advertisers land in the same area: Influencer Marketing Hub puts the average at $0.01 to $0.03 a view, and Mega Digital at $0.026.
What counts as a paid view
Google bills a view on a skippable in-stream ad when someone watches 30 seconds of it (or the whole ad, if it is shorter) or interacts with it, according to its help page on cost-per-view bidding. For in-feed and Shorts ads the mark is 10 seconds or a click.
Your public view count on YouTube is a separate number. Google’s help on view metrics says ad views now count toward it from the moment the ad starts to play, while you are billed only for the paid views above. Judge a campaign on paid views, watch time and cost per view, not on the public counter.
What moves the cost per view
- Where the ads run. In Dynamoi’s data a view in the US costs several times a view in India or the Philippines.
- Who you target. A narrow audience, such as fans of a few named artists in one city, costs more per view than a broad one.
- The video itself. Ads people watch past the first seconds keep earning views; ads people skip do not.
- The ad format. In-stream, in-feed and Shorts ads count views differently, so their costs are not directly comparable.
A cheap view is not always the best one. Views from a country you will never tour, or from people who leave after 30 seconds, do little for your career. Set the region by where your fans are, not by price alone.
Views are the start, not the goal
Paid views put your video in front of people who have never heard of you. What turns them into fans is the song, the first seconds of the video, and somewhere obvious to go next: your channel, your Spotify profile, a page about you. Our guide to promoting your music covers the rest of a release plan, and legit music promotion covers what to avoid. Anyone selling a guaranteed number of views is breaking YouTube’s fake engagement policy.
How Blue Leopard Media can help
We run music videos as Google Ads campaigns on YouTube, aimed at people who watch similar artists, and add an editorial feature about you on one of the publications we work with, so the people who discover you have something to read when they search your name. A worldwide campaign with one feature starts at $249; targeting specific countries or cities is priced separately. You get a Google Ads report every week. We don’t sell streams or promise a number of views. The feature is sponsored content, as our disclaimer states.

Frequently asked.
How much does it cost to promote a music video on YouTube?
You set the budget. Published music-campaign data from Dynamoi puts the cost per paid view at $0.004 to $0.05 worldwide, so $100 buys roughly 2,000 to 25,000 paid views depending on where the ads run. US views cost the most.
How many views will $100 get on YouTube ads?
Roughly 2,000 to 5,000 paid views in the US and 16,000 to 25,000 in India, using Dynamoi’s published ranges. Use the calculator above for other budgets and regions.
Do paid views count toward my public YouTube view count?
Yes. Google says ad views now count toward the public view count from the moment the ad starts to play. You are billed only for paid views: 30 seconds watched (or the whole ad, if shorter) or an interaction.
Is YouTube promotion worth it for independent artists?
It can be, when the video is strong and the targeting matches where your fans are. Paid views reach people who would never find you otherwise. They work best alongside a release plan, not instead of one.
What is a good cost per view on YouTube?
General benchmarks put the average at about $0.01 to $0.03 a view (Influencer Marketing Hub) or $0.026 (Mega Digital). For music, Dynamoi’s figures run from $0.004 in India to $0.05 in the US.
