Founder & executive PR

PR for founders and executives, built around your name.

Before an investor takes the meeting, a candidate accepts the offer or a client signs, they search your name. Founder PR is about what they find. We write and publish a profile feature about you, give you a profile page on the publication, and build both to rank.

Who it is for

  • Founders raising, or about to. Investors look you up before the first call and again before they commit.
  • Executives in a new role. The first page for your name should reflect the job you have, not the one you left.
  • Consultants, advisers and professionals whose name is the business: lawyers, doctors, coaches, authors.
  • Anyone whose first page is empty, out of date, or someone else. A namesake, an old employer’s page, a stale directory listing.

What you get

  • A profile feature written by our editorial team from a ten-minute brief, in the publication’s own style.
  • Your approval of every word before anything goes live.
  • A profile page on the publication that links to your verified accounts and lists what has been written about you.
  • Your name in the headline, URL, first paragraph and image alt text, where search engines look first.
  • NewsArticle and Person structured data, so Google can connect the feature to you.
  • Links to your website and profiles, marked sponsored as Google requires.
  • Same-day submission to Google, and ranking checks at day 7 and day 30, with the data sent to you.

Founder PR is not company PR

Company PR is about the product and the news: a launch, a partnership, a funding round. It is written for customers and it dates quickly. Founder PR is about the person: the problem you set out to solve, the calls you made, what you know that others do not. It follows you from company to company, and it is what people are really checking when they search your name.

The two work best together. A company announcement tells the market what happened; a founder profile tells investors, hires and partners why you are the person to back.

Angles that work for founders

Our editors recommend a title and an angle within one business day of your brief. The ones that read best are usually one of these:

  • The origin story, told through a customer’s problem rather than your CV.
  • The contrarian view: what your industry gets wrong, and what you do instead.
  • The hard decision: the pivot, the market you walked away from, the hire you made early.
  • The milestone, with context: the raise, the launch or the expansion, and what it means.
  • The expertise piece: a clear, practical point of view that shows how you think.

From brief to live

WhenWhat happens
Day 0You send a ten-minute brief; we recommend the title and the angle
Day 1–3We write the draft and send it to you
Day 3–5We make your changes; you approve the final version
Within 24 hours of approvalThe feature and your profile page go live, clearly labelled
Same dayStructured data validated; URLs submitted to Google
Day 7 and day 30We check where it ranks for your name and send you the data

If a feature is not ranking by day 30, we strengthen it or publish a second piece.

What it is, and what it is not

Every feature is sponsored and clearly labelled as such. It is not earned press, and it does not replace a journalist choosing to write about you. What it does is make sure that when someone searches your name, they find a well-written, accurate, current account of who you are and what you do, on a publication, under your control. For the full picture of how the options compare, see our guide to getting featured in a magazine and how to rank your name on Google.

Questions

Before you start.

Will this help with investor due diligence?

It gives investors an accurate, well-written and easy-to-find account of you and your company. It does not replace the facts they will check, and it should never overstate them.

Do I need to do an interview?

No. A ten-minute written brief is enough for our editors to write the feature. If you would rather talk it through, book a call and we will take the brief that way.

Which publication will I appear on?

We recommend the publication that best fits your market and audience. Placements on major outlets in the extended network are also available, quoted per outlet.

What if my name is very common?

Rankings depend on who else shares your name, so we never promise a position. We check at day 7 and day 30, and if the feature is not ranking by day 30 we strengthen it or publish a second piece.
