Editorial policy

How every feature is written, approved and labelled.

Every feature Blue Leopard Media publishes is sponsored content: paid for by the person or company it is about, written by our editorial team, approved by the client and labelled on the page. This policy explains how that works, what we check, what we will not publish and how to ask for a correction.

What a feature is

A feature is a full-length article about a person or a business, written by our editorial team from material the client supplies and approves, and published on one of the publications we work with. It is not earned press: no journalist chose to write it, and we never present it as if one had. It reads like a magazine piece, because it is written as one, and it says on the page that it is sponsored.

Blue Leopard Media and the publications it works with are independent of, and not affiliated with, any other media company, including the publishers of similarly named magazines.

How a feature is written

  1. Tell us your story. A short brief: your name exactly as people search it, what you do, your website and profiles, and a headshot. Ten minutes, no pitch deck.
  2. We match the title and the angle. We recommend the publication, or publications, that fit your market and goal, and the angle that gives readers a reason to keep reading.
  3. We write, you approve. Our editorial team drafts an original feature. You review it, request changes, and nothing is published without your sign-off.
  4. We publish within 24 hours. Your feature goes live on the agreed title with a clear disclosure, your imagery, your links and a profile page for the subject of the piece.
  5. Indexed under your name. Your name sits in the headline, the URL, the first paragraph and the image alt text. Structured data is validated and the URLs are submitted to Google the same day.
  6. Assets and follow-up. You receive the live link, a PDF copy, "Featured in" badges and quote cards. We check where you rank for your name at day 7 and day 30 and send you the data.

Every feature is original copy written for the client and the publication. Where a client already has text they would like us to use, we edit it to the publication’s house style rather than publishing it as supplied.

Approval before publishing

Nothing is published without the client’s written approval of the final draft. The client can ask for as many changes as they need before approving; each round of changes restarts the clock, and the 24-hour publishing window starts only once the final version is approved.

Labelling and links

  • Every feature is labelled as sponsored content on the page.
  • Links to the client’s website and profiles are marked sponsored, which is what Google requires for paid placements.
  • Each feature carries NewsArticle and Person structured data so search engines know who it is about. It does not pretend to be anything other than a sponsored article.
  • Publication logos and "Featured in" badges may only be used for titles the client was actually published in.

The FTC treats paid content as advertising that must be identifiable as such, and the UK’s CAP Code says the same. Our label is how we meet that, and it is not removed on request.

Accuracy

The client is responsible for the facts they give us and confirms they have the right to use every image and document they send. We are responsible for how the feature presents them. We write in a measured, third-person voice, we keep claims to what the client can support, and we ask for evidence when a claim needs it.

What we never publish

  • Invented awards, rankings or credentials.
  • Material that is misleading, defamatory or unlawful, or contrary to a publication’s standards.
  • Claims of results, outcomes or figures the client cannot support.
  • Images, documents or quotes the client does not have the right to use.
  • A feature before the client has approved it in writing.
  • Anything presented as independent editorial coverage. Every feature is labelled as sponsored.

We also do not sell features for use as evidence in visa or immigration applications. Immigration authorities, including USCIS for O-1 and EB-1 petitions, generally do not accept paid or sponsored placements as independent published material about an applicant.

Corrections and removal

Factual corrections are made at any time at no cost. Larger rewrites after publication are handled as a new piece. To report an error in a feature, email contact@blueleopardmedia.com with the link and the correction; we reply within one business day.

Publications not on the list

Every publication on the publications page carries the 24-hour window and the money-back assurance. Coverage on a publication not on that list is quoted per outlet, depends on third parties we do not decide for, and has its turnaround and terms confirmed in writing before the client pays.

For what we promise and what we do not, see our guarantee. For the plain facts about the company, see is Blue Leopard Media legit?

Money-back assurance

If your approved feature is not live within 24 hours, you get a full refund.

Confirmed in writing before you order and counted on business days.
