Reputation management

Reputation management that adds, not erases.

If the first page for your name is outdated, thin or unfair, there are two honest options: remove what genuinely qualifies for removal, and publish stronger, accurate pages that deserve to rank above the rest. We do the second, and we will tell you where the first applies.

Removal and suppression are different things

What can be removed

  • Your contact details and ID numbers. Google’s Results about you tool lets you request removal of results showing your phone number, email, home address or government ID numbers from Search.
  • Outdated results. If a page has changed or gone, Google can be asked to refresh or drop the stale version.
  • Unlawful content. Defamation or copyright infringement is a matter for a lawyer, not a PR firm.
  • Your own old pages. Profiles and pages you control can simply be updated or taken down.

What can only be outranked

Legitimate news coverage, reviews and opinion are not removed on request. The remedy is suppression: publishing accurate, stronger pages about you until they occupy the places those results used to hold. It works, but it takes months rather than days, and a result on a very strong site may never move far. Anyone who promises otherwise is guessing.

How suppression actually works

Page one for a name has roughly ten organic places. Google fills them with pages it trusts that clearly describe the person being searched for. Every strong, relevant page about you that earns one of those places pushes something else down one.

So the plan is to add pages that deserve those places: features on established publications with your name in the headline and URL, a profile page on each, your own site with Person structured data, and consistent public profiles, all linked to one another so Google treats them as one person.

A realistic plan

  1. Audit page one. What is there, who owns each result, and how strong each site is.
  2. Remove what qualifies. We point you to Results about you, the refresh tool or a lawyer where they apply.
  3. Choose the pages to add. Usually three features on three different titles, plus the profiles and your own page.
  4. Publish in sequence, so each new page is indexed before the next goes live.
  5. Measure. Private-window searches for your name at day 7 and day 30 after each piece, with the data sent to you.

For a less competitive name, the first movement often shows within weeks. Stubborn results take months. We will tell you at the audit stage which is likely, before you spend anything.

Who it is for

  • Professionals whose first page is out of date or reflects an old role.
  • People outranked by a namesake, so searchers meet the wrong person.
  • Someone with one unwelcome result among too few others to dilute it.
  • Founders who want their company story told accurately before an investor or buyer finds a stale version.

If the result you are worried about is major news coverage of a matter of public interest, we will tell you honestly that new features will not make it disappear.

Questions

Before you start.

Can you remove a negative article about me?

No. We do not remove content. If a result shows your personal contact details or ID numbers, Google’s Results about you tool can remove it from Search; if content is unlawful, speak to a lawyer. Otherwise we publish stronger, accurate pages that rank above it.

How long until a negative result drops?

It depends on how strong the site hosting it is. For less competitive names, movement often shows within weeks; stubborn results take months, and some cannot be moved far. We say which is likely at the audit, before you pay.

Is this the same as an online reputation management firm?

Many ORM firms offer a wide range, from review management to legal removals. We do one thing: publish accurate coverage under your name that is built to rank, and measure it.

Will the new pages look like PR?

They are magazine-standard features, clearly labelled as sponsored. Readers can see what they are; what they find is accurate, well written and current, which is the point.
