PR for lawyers and law firms, built for the search before the call.
Clients check a lawyer before they call. A referral, an ad or a directory listing puts your name in front of them; what they find when they search it decides whether they pick up the phone. We write a feature about you or your firm, you approve every word, and it goes live within 24 hours of your approval on a publication that fits your practice.
Why press matters for a law practice
Legal services are bought on trust, and most of that trust is checked online before the first consultation. A client who was referred to you still searches your name. A general counsel comparing firms reads what has been written about the partners. A journalist looking for a source checks whether you have said anything worth quoting before.
Your firm’s website says what you want it to say, and readers know that. A feature on a business publication, written in the third person and clearly labelled, gives them a second account of your work: the matters you handle, how you think about them and why clients come to you. It is a page people find when they search your name, next to your own site rather than instead of it.
It suits:
- Solo practitioners and small firms competing with bigger names for the same searches.
- Partners building a personal profile, especially after a lateral move or a new practice area.
- Firms with news: a new office, a merger, a new partner or a new practice group.
- Lawyers who want to be quoted and need something that shows their expertise first.
What a feature covers for a lawyer
Each feature is written by our editorial team from a short brief, in the publication’s own style. The angles that read best for lawyers are about the client’s problem, not the CV:
- The practice area explained: what clients usually get wrong about it, and how you approach it.
- The firm story: why it was founded, who it serves and what it does differently.
- A milestone with context: a new office, a new partner, a merger or an anniversary, and what it means for clients.
- Commentary: a clear view on a change in the law or the market that affects the people you act for.
- A partner profile: the career, the kind of matters they handle and the clients they serve.
You get the live link, a PDF copy, your official cover and a "Featured in" badge kit. Your name sits in the headline, the URL and the first paragraph, so the feature can be found when people search for you. Links to your website are included and marked sponsored, as Google requires.
Publications that suit a law practice
Features run on the publications we work with. These are the ones that usually fit a lawyer or a firm, based on what each title covers and who reads it:
| Publication | What it covers | Who reads it | Terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manhattan Standard | New York business, money and power. | People in New York finance, real estate and law. | Guaranteed · 24h |
| The USA Standard | American business, markets and the economy. | Founders, executives and investors. | Guaranteed · 24h |
| The BB Report | Business, investing, technology, entrepreneurship and leadership. | Founders, investors and business leaders. | Guaranteed · 24h |
| The Women’s Reporter | Women in business, leadership and culture. | Women founders, executives and creatives. | Guaranteed · 24h |
| The NY Journals | World news, business, sport and entertainment. | General news readers. | Guaranteed · 24h |
| International Business Weekly | Global business, markets, companies and the economy. | Executives and investors following global markets. | Guaranteed · 24h |
Every publication we list carries the 24-hour window and the money-back assurance; a publication not on the list is quoted per outlet, with the terms in writing before you pay. A New York firm will usually start on Manhattan Standard, which covers the city’s finance, real estate and law; a national practice or a partner profile fits The USA Standard. See every publication.
How the options compare
There are several ways for a lawyer to get press, and they buy different things. The figures for agencies, publicists, wires and placement services come from a published industry guide (sources below), which also puts senior practitioners in regulated industries and litigation-adjacent work at $400 to $1,000 an hour.
| Option | Typical price | What you pay for | Who decides what is written | Labelled as paid? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PR agency on retainer | $3,500 to $10,000 a month (boutique); $10,000 to $25,000 (mid-sized and sector specialists) | The team’s time and pitching, not coverage | The journalist, if they choose to cover you | No: it is earned editorial |
| Freelance publicist | $2,000 to $10,000 a month | One person’s time, not coverage | The journalist, if they choose to cover you | No: it is earned editorial |
| Newswire press release | $600 to $3,000 per release | Distribution of a release you write | You, within the wire’s rules | Shown as a press release |
| Pay-per-placement service | $2,500 to $10,000+ per placement | A placement on an outlet named in the contract | Depends on the outlet: check | Yes, if the outlet was paid |
| Blue Leopard Media feature | $249 for 1, $499 for 3, $999 for 8 | A feature written for you, live within 24 hours of your approval or your money back | You approve every word | Yes, labelled as sponsored |
A legal PR agency on retainer is the right choice for a firm that needs ongoing media relations, a crisis plan or coverage of a major case. A feature is the right choice when what you need is an accurate, well-written page about you that clients find when they search your name, on a date you know. Many firms use both. For the detail, read what a PR agency costs and what guaranteed PR can honestly promise.
What it costs
Prices are the same for every reader and published in full: $249 for one feature, $499 for three and $999 for eight, each with your official cover. There is no retainer and no minimum term. A firm feature plus a partner profile, or a profile for each partner, usually fits the three-feature package, with the angles planned so no two pieces repeat.
| Package | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Start | $249 | One feature, one publication. One written feature and your official cover, on the title you choose. |
| Build authority | $499 | Three features, three publications · $166.33 per title. Three titles, three angles, three covers. Three separate pages about you for Google to index. |
| Dominate your presence | $999 | Eight features, eight publications · $124.88 per title. All eight business titles, eight angles, eight covers, published on a planned schedule. |
Bigger campaigns start at $1,499. Every price we charge, for press, music and ads, is on the pricing page.
How it works
- Send a short brief. Your name exactly as people search it, what you do, your website and profiles, and a headshot. About ten minutes.
- We recommend the title and the angle within one business day.
- We write, you approve. Our editorial team drafts an original feature. You ask for changes, and nothing goes live without your written approval. If your firm has a compliance partner or ethics counsel, send them the draft too: you can take as long as you need.
- Live within 24 hours of your approval, labelled as sponsored, with your links marked sponsored as Google requires.
- Indexed under your name. The URLs are submitted to Google the same day, and we check where you rank for your name at day 7 and day 30.
The full process is on how it works. If your approved feature is not live within 24 hours (business days), you get a full refund: see our guarantee.
What it is, and what it is not
Every feature is sponsored content and labelled as such on the page. It is not earned press, it is not a directory listing and it is not a ranking: nothing in it says you are the best lawyer in your city, because nobody can honestly publish that. What it does is put a credible, current account of your practice where people look.
If your search results are thin or out of date, reputation management adds several pages in a planned order. If the person matters more than the firm, start with founder & executive PR. If you want clients searching for a practice area in your city, that is a job for Google Ads. Our guide to ranking your name on Google explains what makes a page rank for a name.

Read the refund policyFrequently asked.
Is a sponsored feature allowed under lawyer advertising rules?
Generally, yes, as long as it is not false or misleading and it is identified as paid, but the rules differ by state and country and we cannot advise on yours. Every feature is labelled as sponsored and you approve the text, so you can check it against your own rules first.
Can the feature mention a case I handled?
Only what is already public and what you are allowed to say about it. We do not publish results you cannot support, and client confidentiality is yours to judge before you approve the draft.
Will it help me rank for "[practice area] lawyer in [city]"?
A feature is built to rank for your name and your firm’s name. Ranking for a practice area in a city is a different, competitive job that a single article will not do; for that, people searching right now are better reached with Google Ads.
Which publication will I appear on?
We recommend the title that best fits your practice and market within one business day of your brief, and you decide. For a New York firm that is often Manhattan Standard; for a national practice, The USA Standard.
Can the firm and its partners each be featured?
Yes. The three-feature package ($499) is often used for one firm feature and two partner profiles, with the angles planned together.
How fast does it go live?
Within 24 hours of your written approval of the final draft, counted on business days. If it is not, you get a full refund for that feature.
